核心代碼已更新至最新版MAME. 建議刪除舊版mame.ini.

- 核心與 GUI 全部轉為 Unicode
- 支持本地語言的漢字 bdf 字體. 請下載 otf2bdf 並在命令行執行 otf2bdf.exe C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\mingliu.ttc -o ui.bdf -p 40生成所需的 ui.bdf. 然後將生成的 ui.bdf 放入 "fontpath", 默認路徑為 lang\ja_JP\ui.bdf, lang\zh_CN\ui.bdf, lang\zh_TW\ui.bdf ... 第一次讀取字體時, 可能需要等待 5~30 分鐘.
- 程序中整合 12點陣漢字庫, 不再需要 .fnt 外部字庫
- 修正圖像增強濾鏡
- 必須更新語言包

MAME Plus (whatever) 0.121 released with console support

enlightened from this thread, we integrated MESS core into MAME Plus in the hope that MESS would get wider attention that it deserves.

"console games tend to push things harder than arcade ones, and often abuse chips in ways the arcade games don't", so that console emulation may potentially improve the level of accuracy in MAME. currently we have 3 drivers (ie. NES, SNES, Genesis) enabled, to evaluate console emulation in the MAME framework. we prefer not to have a fixed game list, as the MESS window UI already gives a console-ish emulator look and feel.

whether MAME 'Plus' still bears the name of MAME is merely a philosophical opinion.

we noticed there are some confusions [1] [2] about recent changes in MAMEPlus. so, here is some clarification

Why did you remove M68k ASM core support?
it's out of date, and it's NOT faster than C version, it doesn't worth the effort of keeping it.

Why did you remove NeoGeo console support?
no, we didn't. select region/console mode in Options - Misc - BIOS, the 2 "AES" BIOSes are for console. previous implementation in the in-game menu is more convenient, however, driver-specific code being pulled into mame core is not the proper way.

Does MAME Plus still support hiscore.dat?
Yes.
